| Do you have a training centre? |
|
No. Two Rivers offers onsite training only. That means we come to you and deliver the training at your home or workplace. However, unlike other providers, we supply all the hardware, from laptops to projector to cabling and routers. All you need to supply is an empty room with basic furniture.
If you need or want to train your staff off-site (away from your office) there are a number of facilities around Brisbane and the Gold Coast that can be hired on a daily basis. Two Rivers can handle the arrangements for you. |
| It's just me. Can I join a class? |
|
Two Rivers does not run scheduled courses. We run one course for one business of individual each day. However Two Rivers do one-on-one sessions, which many people find helpful because they are carried out at your pace and you can do a standard course or Q&A or a combination. Many people have discovered that they can get more done in half a day than a whole day with a group. |
| How quickly can you come to us to deliver training? |
|
Two Rivers does not fix its schedule, so it's sometimes possible to arrange jobs for the same day! This provides the ultimate flexibility for you because you are not tied in to a set date for a set course and you don't have to wait too long.
Jason is the principle trainer and his schedule can be viewed here. Two Rivers also uses the services of contract trainers for programs like Microsoft Project and MYOB. These are qualified people who know what they are talking about and have the industry experience to back it up. Two Rivers liases between you and the trainer to arrange a mutually convenient time to deliver the training. |
| Do you deliver training in places like Cairns, Townsville Rocky, Gladstone and Mackay? |
|
Yes we do. We've even gone to remote places like Moura. Two Rivers can fly a trainer up to you. Because of the difficulty of transporting computers, we ask that you prepare a training room (for group training). We can post or bring the manuals with us and supply the trainer with a laptop. In addition to an agreed training fee, where appropriate we will also forward on to you any incurred costs for air fares, airport car parking, car hire / taxi and accommodation. |
| Do you offer Office 2007 training? |
|
Yes we do. We have converted most of our course materials (manuals) from Office 2003 to Office 2007 and the trainers are fluent with the programs.
However, as demand is still low for Office 2007 training our laptops are still loaded with Office 2003. Therefore if you require training in the Office 2007 programs, we ask that you provide your own computers. The trainer will bring a laptop loaded with Office 2007. We anticipate in the second half of 2008 that we will load the new Office 2007 software of some of our laptops or purchase some additional machines. |
| How am I supposed to fit a course into my busy schedule? |
|
Many people have claimed that the time they saved in the first week after training, paid for the course.
Plus, Two Rivers tries to make it as easy as possible for you by:
- Delivering the training at a time that is convenient for you, including Saturdays and evenings, if that helps. Sometimes, training can be arranged for the same day.
- Offering a range of half-day, one-day and two day courses, covering all levels and all versions.
- Making allowances for participants to be 'on call' during a course. If you need to attend to business, you'll be at your office anyway, so it's easy.
|
| What if I'm the slowest person in the room? |
|
You'd be surprised at how many people say this. In most cases, this fear is unjustified, as people underestimate their own ability. You might well be the slowest (after all, someone has to be !), but don't forget:
- We keep our class sizes small to give you the best chance of receiving as much attention as you need.
- You'll know everyone else in the room, because the training takes place at your workplace.
- We try to pre-assess the level of ability of all participants, so that nobody is too slow and nobody is too fast.
- Our training is relaxed and we try to have fun.
- If you still aren't sure, there is always one-on-one training.
|
| What if I'm the fastest person in the room? |
|
Today's society demands that everything has to be done yesterday. People want the latest gadgets NOW. People hate being held up, whether it's a traffic jam, a queue at the shops or just trying to sort out an issue on the phone.
The training room is no different. You need the course to go at a speed that keeps you interested and challenged, but not so fast that you are just lost, and not so slow, that you are bored. A good trainer will pace the course in such a way that everybody is kept happy. At Two Rivers:
- We try to pre-assess the level of ability of all participants, so that nobody is too slow and nobody is too fast.
- We have extra exercises for those who finish the regular exercises quickly
- If you know you are fast, and want to maximise your training time, try one-on-one training.

| What about the questions I think of later? |
|
Now the thing is, when you're on a course, there is so much new information being stuffed into your head that you don't have much spare brain capacity to think of good questions. The questions and issues for which you need answers often come later, when you return to your desk and apply your new skills to your actual situation.
That's why we offer free support by phone or email for everyone who has attended a course. If you have an issue a week, a month, even six months down the line, you can contact us for a solution. Other training organisations offer one month support, or none at all. With Two Rivers, there is no time limit. |
| Do you customise courses? |
|
Yes we do.
We have already constructed each course to include the most useful features of each program at each level. However, we know from experience that one size does not fit all, so if you wish, we can discuss how to customise a course that would be more suitable for you. For example, you may want to skip some topics or trim a two-day course into one day, if you are working to a tight timescale.
There is no charge for customising a course. |
| How good are your trainers? |
|
All our trainers are experienced specialists in their respective fields. and have many years training experience behind them. Many have degrees and industry qualifications too, We only use the best trainers. If an instructor is not up-to-scratch, we will not use them again. |
| How much is this all going to cost? |
|
If you're like 90 percent of the population, then everything boils down to this one question.
We provide a service that is second-to-none, but our prices are the lowest around because we don't have the usual overheads associated with a training centre. We challenge you to shop around, but remember to always compare apples with apples. There is ABSOLUTELY NOBODY ELSE who delivers the training at your home or office and brings all the equipment and materials. We're not just saying that. We guarantee to beat any written quotation for a like-for-like service in South-East Queensland.

| We have a large training requirement or our situation warrants further discussion. Can you meet with us to discuss our needs? |
|
Yes we can. Sometimes it's just impractical to establish final requirements on the phone. In these cases, we will come to you to talk through issues, such as how to customise the course content, lock-down possible dates and locations and anything else that you want to throw into the mix.
We want you to be happy with the final outcome, and we feel that a small investment of time now reaps huge rewards down the track.
We do this free-of-charge. |
